Meilicke Hoffmann & Partner provides consultancy services in all important areas of corporate and commercial law. Our expertise - regarding out-of-court consultancy as well as representation of interests before the state courts and in arbitration proceedings - has been tested and proven for decades. We do not restrict ourselves to showing where legal obstacles are to be found, but rather see our task in implementing our clients’ commercial interests in a legally secure manner.
Focus and areas of specialisation
Company law and tax law have been at the centre of our activities for decades. Here, our special focus is on stock corporation law, corporate tax law and the law of corporate acquisitions. For some years, a further key area of our activities has been banking and investment law. This clear focus allows us to provide consultancy services at the highest level of expertise. In addition to this, we have profound knowledge and experience in other core areas of commercial law, including its international and European aspects, so that we can offer our clients comprehensive consultancy in commercial law matters - all from one source. Our lawyers’ specialisations, formed in practical work, are in particular in the fields of labour law, industrial property law, trade law, insurance law and commercial tenancy law. Furthermore, our expertise covers the areas of succession of property and trusts, accounting law, insolvency law, marketing law and sponsoring.
Our lawyers are qualified as expert authors and as holders of the title “Fachanwalt” (as specialised lawyers for tax law, trade and company law, banking and capital market law, labour law, industrial property law, insurance law). Lawyers working for our law firm have long-standing experience as judges and counsels in arbitration proceedings and as members of corporate bodies. Some of them are qualified tax consultants, have degrees obtained abroad or are admitted to the bar in other countries.

The size of our law firm, which, in comparison to our competitors, has consciously been kept at a manageable level, ensures a special level of independence from potentially conflicting interests. Whilst larger consultancy units, due to a multitude of other obligations and loyalties, quickly reach the limitations of a consistent and conflict-free representation of interests, our compact size ensures efficient representation of our clients’ interests.
